Welcome to St John's Church of England Voluntary
Aided School. Located on the north Eastern outskirts of Ipswich to
serve St John's Church, parish and the local community. Although a
"town" school we have 6.5 acres of extensive grounds, including
playgrounds, playing fields and a conservation area. Founded in
1872, the school moved to its present historic sight in 1962.
The school combines the rich tradition and ethos of
a Christian education with the very best that modern teaching
techniques and technology can offer. Children leave St John's aged
11 and proceed to the county's finest schools. More importantly they
do so as confident, aspirational and resilient young people, aware
of their own potential and their ability to leave a positive
impression on the lives of others.
I hope you find this website interesting and
informative, but there is no substitute for a personal visit where
you can see for yourself what makes us so different. We look forward
to welcoming you to St John's soon.
